Founded in 1988, we have designed and constructed over 100 new homes and additions in the New River Valley of Virginia. Our goal is to design and build high quality, competitively priced, and energy efficient houses, additions, and remodeling projects.

Shelter Alternatives, Inc., is the only Five -Time recipient of the "Design Excellence Award" from the New River Valley Home Builders Association.

Energy Check

We have just launched a new affiliate program: Energy Check. The goal of Energy Check is improve the health, safety, and efficiency of new and existing homes by using the principles of building science, confirmed by diagnostic testing, to maximize comfort while minimizing our impact on the environment and operational costs.
