So, What Happens During an Energy Audit?

​We often recommend a Home Performance Assessment (also called an Energy Audit) before beginning a remodel project as it can be a good time to tackle issues that may not be evident. We want the homeowners to be aware of how the home operates and make sure that any issues that may affect the health, comfort and safety of the building are made a priority.

If you are doing a project with Shelter Alternatives and are interested in a Home Performance Assessment of your home, we will subsidize half of the cost. By doing so, the cost of a full inspection, testing and report with findings and recommendations is only $225.00. The assessment will be conducted by a certified building analyst with our Energy Check division.
